The 6' x 6' Luminous SkyCeiling installed in the MRI suite of the Computerized Medical Radiology Center of Tabasco (CERACOM) in Villahermosa, Mexico, provides a realistic and calming view of sky during the diagnostic imaging procedure, and offers a more comfortable and encouraging experience for the patients. Luminous SkyCeilings in MRI suites are noted for their ability to alleviate claustrophobic responses, a benefit to patients and the facility’s efficiency and bottom line. CERACOM is the first healthcare facility in Mexico to install a Luminous SkyCeiling in an MRI suite. The edge-lit EcoSlim LED lighting system is compatible with the RF-free requirements of MRI equipment, as well as being very low profile and easy to install.
